Quality appears to be very good. Overall, well laid out, very functional for my purposes ... provides great room to carry extra magazines. A little pricey, but I am overall very happy with my purchase ... would recommend!

The case itself is quite good, really more like a 4.5 stars, but it could definitely be stiffer in the sides, that’s its only flaw.
I do wish the Elite would sell the straps that came with this case. I have the same case but in a slightly larger size for AR15s and the straps in it are horrible. These would be perfect for that case, and I can fit 2 rifles in either one, I just need good straps.

First, I never write reviews. Maybe a few times in the last decade have I felt compelled to spend the time to give feedback on a product. This is one of those times. This case is just fantastic. I spent a week or more looking for the right case for a Knight's 14.5. As context, I was previously in the firearms industry having owned one of the largest brick and mortar firearms retailers in the Southeast. I've seen a lot of "tactical" products and many more "tacti-cool" ones.
This case is a flat-out tank. The fabric is thick without being heavy. The webbing handles and pad are far better constructed than what you'd get from high-end specialty providers like Maxpedition. The stitching looks like they put in a few extra lines just because. Everything is well thought out. And the pictures don't do it justice. The 1000D nylon they're using is gorgeous stuff. I purchased a 36 inch in tan and then immediately bought another 33 inch after seeing the construction. I own bags from Eberlestock, Arc'Teryx, Mystery Ranch, etc. None exceed the craftsmanship in this case, and this thing seems criminally underpriced.
I like a "semi-hard" soft case, so I ordered two 12x48 HDPE sheet from McMaster Carr, trimmed length, and slipped them directly into the front insert with the foam pad for one of my ESS cases. Perfect middle ground between hard and soft case. To be clear, the case as constructed is plenty stiff and will stand up on its own, but the ability to easily add a plastic sheet for additional rigidity was great.
I was not even aware of ESS until a few weeks ago. I've since purchased the Special Service Bag, Deluxe Garment Bag, and Armor Transport Bag. They are all bombproof works of functional art. And, again, ESS is charging a solid 50% less than the high-end Gucci Tactical Brands whose quality ESS exceeds.
If you're on the fence or considering a different brand, just pull the trigger on ESS. You're not going to find a better product anywhere at any price.

The horizontal (length) is perfect. Multiple sizes are available. BUT the vertical (hight) is to big. This is supposed to be DISCREET walking around, in a public bus or train etcetera... I have an SBR and purchased the 26" with a vortex mini scope/red dot and streamlight. There is 5"
I dont need The case is to large vertically plus it would be lighter to carry.
So this would be 5 stars all day long but size is a major deduction for me. Thank you! I have the Ruget 10 22 takedown the case is perfect for a takedown /SBR
but to short horizontally for this application. Thank you!
