Description
This Recon® 5 Gen II Lightweight Military Mummy Sleeping Bag is designed for zero gree fahrenheit conditions, with a temperature rating of -4 degrees. Weighing less than 5 lbs, the Recon 5 is the perfect bag for camping, backpacking, or any operations requiring a mummy bag which is lightweight and compact, yet extremely warm.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Wash warm separately (machine ok). Hang dry tactical sleeping bag immediately after wash.
Recon 5, 0 Degree Sleeping Bag
1. Outer top shell made from 210T Ripstop Nylon with a Teflon® finish.
2. Outer bottom shell made from 210D Nylon Oxford with PU2000mm waterproof finish.
3. Inner shell made from 210T Ripstop Nylon.
4. 300gm per square meter DuPont® Thermolite™ Micro insulation.
5. The compact mummy sleeping bag's insulation incorporates an ultra-thin barrier of anti-bacterial pure silver micro fiber which also increases its heat retaining capability.
6. Insulation is flat filled to prevent cold spots.
7. Internal baffle foot is reinforced with 210D Nylon Oxford with PU2000mm waterproof finish to limit damage from boots.
8. Internal and external hanging tabs.
9. Bonded seams
10. Central double puller, heavy duty No 8 spiral zip with storm flap.
11. Anti-snag zip with hook and loop tab closure.
12. Draw cord and barrel lock in hood.
13. Shaped hood for extra comfort.
14. Internal PDA/phone pocket
15. 210D Nylon Oxford spider compression sack.
16. Recon 5 sleeping bag is designed for operations in -20 degree Celsius (-4F) locations.

I have broad shoulders and a big chest, so I normally don’t buy mummy bags as I can’t zip them up past mid chest. I took a chance on this bag and it paid off. While it is snug while zipping it up, I can actually zip it up!!! Wish they sold a bivvy bag for this sleeping bag.

I love this Bag! Just used down to 20f. The center zip, flat fill insulation and large shoulder space is a game changer for me. I camp very basic so I wear my Clothes in the bag and was very warm. I had this inside my german bivy bag and was completely unaware of the 3" of snow and 20 mph winds thaybwas outside. I highly recommend

I was a little disappointed. This was much bulkier than I had hoped. I think it’ll be very warm & I plan to use it. But maybe not on hiking trips.

Everything I expected. Can't find a more warmer and cozier sleeping bag than the Recon 5. I also have the Recon 3 and can slip it into the Recon 5 for extra warmth. Recon 5 fits in my pack snugly and is not too bulky. Compression sack is excellent and the sleeping back fits back into it nicely.
